Polehammer Rubber head
Polehammer head made of high density rubber for safe HEMA training
- Designed according to historical sources
- Hooking resistant
- Compatible with square wooden staff
The polehammer, known in french as “bec de corbin” (crow’s beak) is an evolution of the poleaxe of the middle of XVIth century
The wide axe shaped blade is replaced by a peak that can perforate plate armor.
The hammer is useful to, crush pieces of armor and stun the opponent
The dagger at the top can go through weaknesses in the armor such as the joints or the visor
A disc at the base of the cross, called a “Roundel” protects the hands.
This faithful reproduction of high-density rubber is ideal for making a training weapon ax.
It pairs perfectly with the square section wooden staff and can be finished with a "coronel" tip to secure the tail of the poleaxe
