Sticks

From the Middle Ages to the present day, the stick has spanned eras, adapting to the needs of fighters and practitioners.

In the medieval context, the stick was the weapon of the people par excellence, used by peasants and travelers for their defense. Its effectiveness led to its integration into military training, laying the foundations of techniques that would later be applied to other pole weapons. The evolution of its handling gave birth to specific disciplines like combat cane, enriching the European martial heritage.

For HEMA, the stick holds paramount importance. It serves as a pedagogical foundation, allowing practitioners to assimilate the essential principles of distance, timing, and coordination applicable to a wide range of historical weapons. Our selection of sticks, available in various lengths and materials, offers a versatile training support, suitable for both striking techniques and defensive movements.
