Messer "Regenyei"

The Messer (which means "Knife" in German) is a short sword with a blade that has only one sharp side. It is a weapon derived from butcher knives and appeared in Germany as early as the 15th century. It was used for self-defense as well as for dueling.

It appears in the manuscripts of many German masters of arms such as Hans Talhoffer and Johannes Lecküchner.
