Danzig Messer "Black Fencer"

The Langes Messer, or "long knife" in German, was a popular weapon in the 15th century in Central Europe. The name "Danzig" refers to Peter von Danzig, the presumed author of mid-15th century combat books, the teachings of which are preserved in the Codex Danzig (Codex 44 A 8) of 1452. This manuscript, belonging to the tradition of Johannes Liechtenauer, is a valuable source for the study of Messer combat techniques. Design and materials:
