By merging the ring and little fingers under a common protection, this model retains the three essential fingers for precise weapon control while eliminating the fitting issues some practitioners encounter with the 5-finger version.

Compared to the Gabriel 2.0, the SE stands out in two major ways. First, the exoskeleton structure where the plates connect to each other rather than to the base glove: this architecture eliminates any mechanical resistance and removes the loss of grip inherent in gloves with attached plates. Second, impact resistance: designed for full-intensity longsword use, the Nilin can withstand blows that would cause the fingers of the Gabriel to give way.

The microfiber leather coating ensures durability and comfort. The fusion of the last two fingers also enhances the external lateral protection of the hand, a vulnerable area during blade exchanges.
