Fiberglass training rapier

The "Szklany" rapier from Go Now offers an original approach to training in Verdadera Destreza fencing. Its fiberglass blade, protected by a black plastic coating, replicates the mechanical properties of a steel blade while ensuring a consistent return to the straight position after bending, eliminating the risk of permanent deformation encountered with some metal blades.

The guard adopts the characteristic Spanish style: a hemispherical "en taza" shell made of 1 mm steel sheet, crossed by straight quillons with ends adorned with polished metal balls. The spherical pommel, also made of polished metal, completes the ensemble and contributes to the weapon's balance. The wrapped handle offers a comfortable grip.

With a balance point located just 3 cm from the guard and a contained weight of 770 g, this rapier promotes excellent point control, essential for executing thrust techniques described by Spanish masters. The flexible plastic tip (punta) allows for practicing strikes with minimal protective equipment.

The untreated steel shell requires regular maintenance: drying after use and preventive oiling against corrosion. Polish handcrafted production – slight dimensional variations are possible.
