Rapier A.R.A.

The A.R.A. rapier (Accademia Romana D'armi) represents a significant evolution in the reproduction of historical weapons for the practice of Historical European Martial Arts (HEMA). Developed in collaboration with Francesco Loda, this rapier is a refined stylization of late Spanish rapiers, specifically designed for thrusting.

The main feature of this weapon is its 105 cm triangular musketeer blade, offering a perfect balance between lightness, durability, and maximum length. This unique design results in a weapon that is both robust and maneuverable, ideal for the sophisticated thrusting techniques of historical rapier fencing.

The handle, redesigned from the first generation of the Duellist rapier, offers improved ergonomics for increased comfort and control. The pommel, shorter and heavier than in previous models, allows for better blade control, essential for the precise techniques of rapier fencing.

Forged from high-carbon steel 60S2A and tempered to 51-53 HRC, this rapier combines strength and flexibility, ensuring exceptional durability even during intensive use in competition or training.

Weighing 990 g with a total length of 124 cm, the A.R.A. rapier offers remarkable balance, allowing for quick and precise maneuvers, essential in rapier combat.

This weapon is particularly suited for HEMA rapier competitions, providing practitioners with a high-performance tool to fully express their technical skills.
