Description

Introduced in 2019 as the first model from SIGI Forge, the SIGI Feder Standard embodies the philosophy of an "all-in-one" tool for the longsword practitioner. It is inspired by the historical shapes of training swords (feders) from the 15th and 16th centuries, incorporating a triangular schilt at the base of the blade. This acts as a true "blade catcher," redirecting the opponent's blade away from your fingers during tight engagements.

Dynamically, the SIGI Feder stands out with a mass distribution that makes it feel virtually lighter than it actually is (1580 g). Its point of balance (POB) at 5.5 cm from the guard allows for quick rotations and minimal fatigue during extended sessions. The blade offers a dual-zone behavior: great flexibility in the Weak (12.5 kg flexibility) to protect your partner during thrusts, while maintaining the necessary rigidity in the Strong for lifting and control techniques.

It is the ultimate versatile choice. It excels in its ability to forgive beginners' mistakes while offering the precision required by competitors.
