Description
The dagger with rondels is the iconic sidearm of the 14th and 15th centuries, optimized for piercing the weaknesses in armor. This version forged by Regenyei Armory is not just a costume accessory, but a high-precision martial instrument. Its 35.5 cm blade (size M) made of 51CrV4 steel treated to 49-51 HRC ensures exceptional resistance to repeated impacts during disarming exercises. With a thickness of 5 mm at the base tapering towards the tip, it offers rigidity in line with historical sources, allowing for realistic work on body structure and pressure points.
The technical analysis reveals a particularly responsive tool thanks to its contained weight (330-390g) and its center of gravity located just 2 cm from the guard. This configuration allows for quick transitions between different guards. The sandblasted finish and the handle covered with black cord ensure a flawless grip, even in humidity or with protective gloves.
This simulator is ideal for technical work and "heavy drilling," but for free sparring, it requires very controlled intensity and full protective equipment (rigid Plastron 800N mandatory).
