Arming Sword "Blue" SPES

The SPES Blue short sword is a 50HF steel simulator designed to faithfully replicate the characteristics of 13th-century one-handed swords. Its design is directly inspired by the weapons illustrated in the famous manuscript I.33, an essential reference for sword and shield techniques.

The 74 cm blade has a medium hardness of 48-50 HRC, offering an optimal balance between rigidity and flexibility. It gradually tapers towards the tip and ends with a punta, ensuring realism and safety during thrusts. The inscription "• SPES •" engraved at the base of the blade attests to its origin.

The 14 cm handle is covered with an elastic blue material imitating braided leather, a faithful reproduction of historical manufacturing techniques. This texture improves grip while preserving visual authenticity. The enlarged pommel provides firm support, optimizing weapon control.

Weighing only 0.75 kg with a total length of 90 cm, this short sword allows for dynamic and prolonged training without excessive fatigue. The 16.5 cm wide cruciform guard ensures effective hand protection.

Particularly recommended for sword and shield techniques or single sword techniques, this weapon is suitable for practitioners of all levels, both men and women. It is perfectly suited for competitions and intensive training.
