Poleaxe

The Poleaxe, also known as the "Hache de pas," is a pole weapon that developed in the 15th century. Used on the battlefield by soldiers or foot knights, it is remarkably effective against an armored opponent, which also made it very popular during tournaments between knights.

Its construction makes it a true Swiss army knife.

The large blade, reminiscent of an axe, is called the "taillant" and allows for inflicting wounds on unprotected areas.

The hammer, known as the "mail," is used to crush pieces of armor.

The point at the top, the dagger, can penetrate the weaknesses of armor such as joints or the visor.

Finally, a disc at the base of the cross, called the "rouelle," protects the wearer's hands.

This faithful reproduction in high-density rubber is ideal for creating a training poleaxe.

The ash wood handle is custom-made in France.

The square shape offers a better grip as the handle does not rotate unlike round handles.

The edges have been planed to achieve a much more comfortable octagonal shape.

Ash, frequently used for tool handles, drills and saws easily, and also offers good shock resistance.

The heel is now complemented by a rubber spear point called Corbeau, featuring a hollow design that retracts upon impact.

This system effectively absorbs shock from 7 kg of pressure and enhances the weapon's security.

Moreover, it fits perfectly on square wooden handles, both as a spear point and as a poleaxe heel — a single accessory for two uses.
