Description

The most remarkable feature of the Black Prince gloves is their structure with preformed fingers in a bent position. While most gloves allow the hand to open completely, these gloves naturally keep the fingers in the optimal position for holding a weapon. This feature significantly reduces the effort needed to maintain a firm grip during long training sessions.

Weighing less than 500g per pair, they are among the lightest gloves on the market. This lightness, combined with the independent articulation of the 5 fingers, allows for precise handling, which is particularly appreciated with one-handed weapons like the rapier or the saber.

The protective plates are riveted directly onto the glove and specifically extend over the gripping area, ensuring continuous protection even during guard changes. An elastic cord at the wrist allows the glove to automatically adjust to the hand's morphology.

Available in a single size (equivalent to M/L), the monobloc construction with riveted plates ensures good durability, although this means that the elements are not replaceable. The moderate level of protection makes these gloves more suitable for technical work and sparring with one-handed weapons than for powerful exchanges with the longsword.
