Description

The threshing flail, an agricultural tool used to separate grain from straw, belongs to those "peasant weapons" adapted for combat and documented in treatises, notably those of Paulus Hector Mair. Its study remained theoretical until now, due to the lack of a suitable simulator.

The handle is constructed around an aluminum tube covered with foam: rigid yet lightweight (600 g). The head, with a PVC core covered in foam and fabric (150 g), is connected by a 16 cm rope that replicates the characteristic whipping motion of the weapon. Both forceful strikes and accidental contact with the handle are absorbed safely, allowing for engaged sparring.

With 210 cm for 750 g, this model finally makes the practice of the two-handed flail accessible, both in training and in sparring.
