Our model is directly inspired by archaeological findings, faithfully reproducing the dimensions and weight of historical umbos.

Made from steel only 1mm thick, this umbo is distinguished by its exceptional lightness. Its inner depth of 45mm provides adequate hand protection while maintaining a low profile, ideal for the quick maneuvers characteristic of combat with the buckler. With a featherweight of 230g, it helps create extremely maneuverable shields.
