The complete arm protection "Black Knight" represents a significant advancement in protective gear for Historical European Martial Arts (HEMA) and related disciplines. Inspired by knight armor from the second half of the 14th century, this protection combines historical aesthetics with modern functionality, offering optimal security without compromising mobility.

Comprising four distinct elements, this protection covers the entire arm:

Forearm protection: Anatomically designed to completely envelop the forearm without hindering movement.
Elbow protection: Equipped with a rondel, it protects the joint from all angles. Its conical shape helps to deflect some of the kinetic energy from blows.
Bicep protection: Removable to suit your needs, it completes the upper arm protection without limiting the range of motion.
Shoulder protection: Designed to stay in place during lateral and backward movements, ensuring constant protection of the shoulder joint.

Unlike protections adapted from motocross or cycling, the "Black Knight" was specifically developed for HEMA, drawing on years of experience in historical medieval combat and other forms of historical fencing. Each element is lightweight, offering effective joint protection while allowing for optimal freedom of movement.

These protections can be individually attached to your HEMA jacket or assembled into a single piece, allowing you to adapt your gear to your fighting style and the weapon used.

In the absence of a harmonized European standard specific to HEMA, this material does not benefit from the Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) certification of the FIE-CE type.

The "350N" and "800N" ratings designate the fabric's puncture resistance measured in a laboratory. They do not constitute a guarantee against impacts and do not measure shock absorption, as the case may be.

The use of this equipment, particularly for the practice of HEMA, is under the sole responsibility of the user. It is recommended that the user adapt and complete their equipment according to the simulators used (steel, synthetic, wood), the intensity of their practice, and the regulatory requirements of their club or tournament.
