In HEMA, the forearm and elbow are often the first targets hit, sometimes violently. The "PRO Set Forearms & Elbows" from SPES was created to address this danger. By adding these rigid shells to your jacket, you create an impenetrable physical barrier that disperses the kinetic energy of strikes before they reach your bones.

An essential addition for safety If you own a light jacket (like the AP Light) or a technical one (like the Officer or the Cadet), this kit is the natural evolution to transition to steel. It allows you to adjust your level of protection: wear the jacket alone for technique, and "clip" on the PRO shells for heavy sparring.

Ergonomics and Mobility Unlike basic skate elbow pads, these protections are designed for fencing.

The elbow pads (Shell) cover the olecranon (the tip of the elbow) and the sides of the joint without blocking flexion/extension.

The forearms offer extended coverage, protecting the ulna (the sensitive "small bone") from lateral strikes.

Quick Installation The system relies on Velcro straps that attach directly to the anchor points provided on SPES jackets from the PRO and NG ranges. This ensures that the protection stays attached to the arm even during sudden movements, avoiding the typical slipping of traditional strap-on protections.

For jackets from other brands or standard models, adding Velcro straps or sewing loops will be necessary for installation.

In the absence of a harmonized European standard specific to HEMA, this material does not benefit from the Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) certification of the FIE-CE type.

The "350N" and "800N" ratings designate the fabric's puncture resistance measured in a laboratory. They do not constitute a guarantee against impacts and do not measure shock absorption, as the case may be.

The use of this equipment, particularly for the practice of HEMA, is under the sole responsibility of the user. It is recommended that the user adapt and complete their equipment according to the simulators used (steel, synthetic, wood), the intensity of their practice, and the regulatory requirements of their club or tournament.
